Last Updated: 29 May 2026

Purands ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal data we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process in the course of our business. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable, and other relevant data protection laws.

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all websites, applications, products, services, and platforms (collectively, the "Services") operated or provided by Purands. It describes:

  • The types of personal data we collect
  • How we collect and use personal data
  • When and why we share personal data
  • How we protect and store personal data
  • Your rights and how to contact us regarding your personal data

2. Personal Data We Collect

"Personal data" refers to any information that identifies or can reasonably identify an individual. We may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity Information: Name, date of birth, gender, and identification details.
  • Contact Information: Email address, phone number, and mailing address.
  • Transactional Information: Purchase records, payment details, and billing information.
  • Technical Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and cookie data.
  • Usage Data: Information on how you use our Services, including pages visited, time spent, and interaction patterns.
  • Interaction Data: Information you share while communicating with us through our platforms, chat features, or support channels.
  • Other Information: Any personal data you voluntarily provide through forms, feedback, or surveys.

3. How We Collect Personal Data

We collect personal data through the following means:

  • Direct Interactions: When you register, fill forms, contact us, or use our Services.
  • Automated Technologies: Through cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies.
  • Third Parties: From business partners, payment processors, social media platforms, or external sources authorized by you.

Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and related technologies to operate, enhance, and analyze the performance of our Services. You can configure your browser to block cookies, but some features may not function properly if disabled.

Form Enrichment Services: When you submit a form on our website, we may use third-party data enrichment services (such as Apollo.io) to associate the email address you provide with publicly available business information about your organization (e.g., company name, role, industry, company size). This helps us qualify and respond to enquiries appropriately. The enrichment data is used solely for our own response and is not shared back with other parties. You may opt out by emailing us at meg@purands.com.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files placed on your device, along with similar technologies (such as browser storage and pixels) that help us operate the website, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, though some features may not function as intended if you do.

We group cookies into the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary (always active): Required for the website to function and to remember your cookie choices. These do not track you and are not used for analytics or marketing.
  • Analytics: Help us understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC), which sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, time on page, and approximate location. See Google's Privacy Policy. We also use Microsoft Clarity (provided by Microsoft Corporation) to capture aggregated usage through metrics, heatmaps, and session replays of how visitors interact with the site, which helps us improve our products and services. Clarity does not capture the content you type into form fields. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • Marketing: Used to recognise interested businesses and to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. These include:
    • Google Tag Manager (Google LLC) - manages marketing and advertising tags, such as social and advertising pixels (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn). See Google's Privacy Policy.
    • Apollo.io - identifies the organisation associated with a visit and enriches form submissions with publicly available business information (see Section 3 above). See Apollo's Privacy Policy.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and most browsers let you refuse or remove cookies for specific sites. Doing so may affect how some features of the website work. You may also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

5. Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Data

We may use your personal data for purposes including:

  • Service Provision: To operate, maintain, and improve our Services.
  • Customer Support: To respond to inquiries, feedback, and requests.
  • Account Management: To process registrations and maintain user accounts.

8. Data Security

We employ administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. While we strive for high security standards, no system is entirely risk-free, and users provide information at their own discretion.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. When no longer needed, we anonymize or securely delete it. De-identified data may be retained for analytics, improvement, and service optimization.

10. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may exercise the following rights:

  • Access: Request access to personal data we hold about you.

12. Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for individuals aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that a minor's data has been collected without proper consent, we will promptly delete it.

13. Roles and Responsibilities

Purands may act as a Data Processor when processing data on behalf of our business clients, who serve as Data Controllers. In such cases, we process data solely according to the Controller's instructions and applicable legal requirements. When we act as a Data Controller (e.g., through our own website or services), we are responsible for managing your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

14. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing

Our Services may use artificial intelligence and automated tools to analyze data, improve performance, and generate personalized outputs.

We emphasize the following:

  • We do not share or use personal data to train external or third-party AI models.
  • We may use de-identified or aggregated data internally to improve our own algorithms, systems, and features.
  • You may stop interacting with our AI-enabled Services at any time or withdraw your consent by contacting us at meg@purands.com.
  • Please refrain from sharing sensitive personal data (such as medical, financial, or government identification information) during interactions.

Use of our Services constitutes your acknowledgment and consent to this processing.

15. AI Chat Assistant

Our website provides an AI-powered chat assistant to answer questions about our products and services. To operate and improve this assistant, we store the messages you send and the assistant's responses, along with a timestamp and a one-way hashed identifier derived from your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address from these chats.

We use this information to understand the questions visitors commonly ask, improve the assistant's accuracy, and enhance our content and Services. By using the chat assistant, you consent to this processing. We retain chat records only for as long as necessary for these purposes and then delete them, in line with Section 9 (Data Retention).

Please do not share sensitive personal data (such as medical, financial, or government identification information) in the chat.

16. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in legal requirements, technology, or business practices. Updates will be posted on this page with the revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
